A memorial service has taken place in the US state of Minnesota for George Floyd whose death while in police custody has sparked nationwide protests against racial injustice.
Hundreds of people attended Thursday's ceremony in Minneapolis. It was the 10th day since Floyd died after a police officer pinned him to the ground with a knee on his neck.
One of Floyd's relatives delivered a eulogy, calling for justice.
Meanwhile, protests continued across the country. Floyd's brother joined more than 1,000 people at a rally in New York. They raised flowers and repeatedly called Floyd's name.
Four officers were dismissed after Floyd's death. The officer who knelt on his neck was arrested on charges of third-degree murder and manslaughter. He was also charged with second-degree murder on Wednesday.
The other three officers, who were at the scene, were charged with aiding and abetting second-degree murder and manslaughter.
Second-degree murder is usually defined as intentional murder. But Minnesota judicial authorities say that under state law, the charge stands with or without intention to kill Floyd, if the death was caused with the intention to commit a felony.

Thursday marks the 31st anniversary of China's military crackdown on the student-led pro-democracy movement in Beijing's Tiananmen Square.
People in Hong Kong normally hold large commemorative gatherings on June 4, but they have been banned this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Their anxiety has been compounded by China's plan to introduce national security legislation, which they fear would tighten Beijing's control over the territory.
The military crackdown on June 4, 1989, resulted in a large number of casualties as Chinese troops fired on their country's own students and citizens.
The Chinese government maintains it made the right decision. Information is tightly controlled and people are banned from publicly speaking about the incident.
Police officers are keeping watch over visitors to Tiananmen Square on Thursday.

Hong Kong's legislature has approved a bill to outlaw insulting China's national anthem, amid strong objections by pro-democracy lawmakers.
The legislation is aimed at boosting education on China's anthem at schools and through media, and punishing those who disrespect the anthem. Violators would face up to three years in prison and a fine of 50,000 Hong Kong dollars, or about 6,450 US dollars.
The bill was approved by the Legislative Council, with support by pro-Beijing lawmakers who hold a majority.
Pro-democracy members say Beijing is pushing patriotism onto Hong Kong..
Thursday marked the 31st anniversary of the 1989 military suppression of demonstrators in Beijing's Tiananmen Square.
Ahead of debate on the bill, pro-democracy lawmakers entered the chamber carrying placards and white flowers, and offered a minute of silent prayer for those killed in the incident.
The placards said the day should never be forgotten, and called on people to fight to the end without fearing oppression.
Discussion of the bill was halted when two pro-democracy members released a pungent liquid in the chamber. Voting took place in another room.
The bill was passed a week after China's parliament decided to impose national security legislation for Hong Kong.
A sense of crisis is spreading among Hong Kong citizens over tightening of Beijing's grip on the territory.

The European Central Bank has decided to sharply expand its emergency stimulus program to help eurozone countries weather the economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
The ECB's Governing Council reached the decision at a meeting on Thursday. The emergency program, which involves injecting huge amounts of liquidity into markets by buying assets such as government bonds and commercial paper, was launched in March.
The bank will increase the size of its purchases by 600 billion euros, or 680 billion dollars, to 1.35 trillion euros, or 1.53 trillion dollars.
The ECB will extend the program until at least the end of June next year.
The bank will keep its key interest rates unchanged, with the rate on deposits from financial institutions maintained at minus 0.5 percent.
It will also continue its conventional asset purchase scheme at its current pace of 20 billion euros, or about 23 billion dollars, per month.
The eurozone's gross domestic product for the January to March period shrank 3.8 percent from the previous quarter, its biggest contraction on record.
Nations in the region have started to ease restrictions on economic activity and movement. But the bloc's economy is expected to continue to slow in the April to June period.

Tourism took a heavy hit, with spending on package tours tumbling 97.1 percent.
The figure for hotels and accommodation was down 94.7 percent.
The amount people spent on dining out dropped 63.3 percent, while clothing and footwear fell 55.4 percent.

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has published a study by Chinese researchers who found that restaurant diners became infected with the coronavirus by droplets blown by an air conditioner.
The study analyzed the infection routes of 10 cases confirmed in January and February, and found that the 10 people had lunch in the same restaurant in the Chinese city of Guangzhou on January 24. Their three tables were next to each other and the restaurant had no windows.
A family that had traveled from Wuhan, the initial epicenter of the outbreak, was seated at the middle table. One family member developed coronavirus symptoms after the lunch.
The report says droplets from this person are believed to have been spread by the strong airflow from the air conditioner to the people at the other tables. The airflow direction was consistent with the droplet transmission.
The distance between the air conditioner and the opposite wall was six meters. The virus was not detected in the air conditioner itself, and no infections were confirmed among the 73 other customers on the same floor.
The report says restaurants should increase the distance between tables and improve ventilation.
The US Environmental Protection Agency also recommends that homes are sufficiently ventilated. It says air purifiers, when used properly, can help to reduce airborne contaminants, including viruses. But the agency says that a portable air cleaner, by itself, is not enough to protect people from COVID-19.
