It also said North Korea will be an unbeatable country, as long as it possesses its self-defense capabilities.
The editorial said that the country would not give in to international pressure, and called for unity under Kim. It said the country is moving forward despite sanctions imposed by the US and its followers.

South Korea's foreign minister will visit Japan to discuss North Korea and the ongoing verification of an agreement on those referred to as comfort women.
The South Korean Foreign Ministry says that Kang Kyung-wha will meet Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono on Tuesday. It will be Kang's first visit to Japan since she took office in June.
The ministry set up a task force in July to verify the negotiation process of the agreement, which was reached in 2015. Kang is expected to brief the Japanese side on what progress has been made.
The results of the verification process are scheduled to be reported by the end of the year.
President Moon Jae-in will use the report to formulate his government's future policy on the issue.
The 2015 deal says that the 2 countries agreed to resolve the comfort women issue "finally and irreversibly."
A member of the South Korean cabinet at the time was criticized for saying that the government would try to resolve in an appropriate manner a conflict over a statue of a girl symbolizing the women.
Japan asked that the statue in front of the Japanese embassy in Seoul be removed.

A major Japanese ramen chain operator has added Japanese rice to its menu in its outlets in China. The Ajisen Ramen Chain is based in Kumamoto Prefecture in western Japan and operates about 600 stores in China.
It introduced a new set menu on Saturday that uses Koshihikari rice. Grilled fish, deep-fried pork cutlets and other foods are served with the rice.
A typical dish costs about 6 to 7 dollars. Customers can also buy Japanese rice at the stores.
The chain operator purchased 72 tons of rice from Toyama Prefecture. That's 20 percent of the amount of rice exported from Japan to China last year. It plans to try it in the new menu for 2 months.
A 13-year-old boy at an Ajisen Ramen restaurant in Shanghai said he liked Japanese dishes, and it was some of the best rice he'd ever had. A male customer said he would like to try more kinds of Japanese rice.
The head of the Shanghai office of the Japan External Trade Organization, or JETRO, said he hopes this will help promote safe and good-tasting Japanese food throughout China.
