North Korea's state-run newspaper says sending a high-level delegation to South Korea was meaningful in improving bilateral ties.
Monday's edition of the Rodong Sinmun reports on its front page that the delegation attended a performance by a North Korean art troupe alongside South Korean President Moon Jae-in in Seoul on Sunday evening.
A photo shows North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's sister and special envoy, Kim Yo Jong, and Moon sitting side by side and smiling. Another shows Moon on his feet applauding.
The paper calls the performance a great success.
It also says the delegation wrapped up its 3-day trip to South Korea for the Winter Olympics and returned to North Korea later in the day. It says the head of the delegation, Kim Yong Nam, was greeted by a military guard of honor at an airport in Pyongyang.
The paper says the delegation's visit served as a meaningful occasion in improving bilateral ties and creating a peaceful environment on the Korean Peninsula.
This comes 2 days after the North Korean delegation proposed inter-Korean summit talks with Moon.

Members of a cheering squad from North Korea have created a stir at the Winter Olympics in the South. They wore identical masks showing a man's face while cheering on a unified Korean team.
Some 200 young women from the North were cheering for the combined women's ice-hockey team. They put the masks on and swayed in unison as the team played against Switzerland on Saturday evening.
The display caused discomfort among many members of the South Korean public. Some local media and politicians say the masks show a likeness of Kim Il Sung. He was the North's founding leader and the grandfather of the current head of the regime.
Some observers say that Pyongyang is treating the Games as a propaganda exercise. South Korea's Unification Ministry on Sunday denied this. Officials there suggested that the mask depicted a generic figure thought to demonstrate good looks.
The cheerleaders and a performing troupe from the North were apparently sent to the South to foster a feeling of reconciliation between the two sides.
NHK's Seoul correspondent says the masks instead gave some South Koreans the impression that the two Koreas are worlds apart.

On day 4 of the PyeongChang Olympics, Canada has cruised to gold in the figure skating team event.
There were 5 teams still technically in the running at the start of the day. But the Canadians had it wrapped up before the final event even began.
Sochi Silver Medalist Patrick Chan skated to Jeff Buckley's "Hallelujah." He racked up so many points with a pair of quad jumps that not even a fall could stop him taking first place and stretching Canada's lead.
On the women's side, 15-year-old Alina Zagitova made her Olympic debut and lived up to her buzz, landing all 7 of her jumps. She finished in first, but it wasn't enough for the Olympic Athlete from Russia team to close the gap.
Canada finished with 73 points.
The OAR got 66 and the silver medals.
The United States rounded out the podium with 62 points.

The foreign ministers of Japan and Singapore have confirmed they will cooperate to prevent North Korea evading UN Security Council sanctions.
Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono, visiting Singapore, met his Singaporean counterpart Vivian Balakrishnan on Monday.
Singapore chairs the Association of Southeast Asian Nations this year.
Kono referred to North Korea, and said the international community should not be blinded by its charm offensive at the ongoing Winter Olympic Games.
He urged Southeast Asian nations to cooperate so they do not provide North Korea with any loopholes as the North's methods of avoiding sanctions have become increasingly sophisticated.
Balakrishnan replied that the ASEAN bloc will do its share to see that UN Security Council resolutions are fully implemented.
The 2 foreign ministers agreed to work together to apply further pressure on the North.
Kono also conveyed Japan's strategy to promote a free and open Indo-Pacific region that attaches importance to upholding the rule of law and freedom of navigation in the region, and asked for cooperation from ASEAN member states.

The administration of US President Donald Trump has released a summary of its budget proposal to Congress. The plan includes a 3-trillion dollar deficit reduction over 10 years with big corporate tax cuts.
The preview, released on Sunday, outlines the budget plan for next fiscal year, starting in October.
Presidential budgets carry no enforcement functions, as Congress controls the budget process.
The proposal includes 200 billion dollars in federal funds for infrastructure spending over the next 10 years, and 18 billion dollars over 2 years to build a wall on the border with Mexico to keep out illegal immigrants.
Trump earlier signed into law legislation to drastically reduce the corporate tax rate, and endorsed a bipartisan agreement by lawmakers to raise domestic spending.
Market players were increasingly citing concerns over possible expansion of the US budget deficit.
Full details of the plan are to be released on Monday.

Senior US officials have denied speculation that White House Chief of Staff John Kelly is considering leaving his post over his handling of domestic abuse accusations against a former aide to President Donald Trump.
Kelly has come under fire since the allegations against Rob Porter surfaced. Porter resigned last week after 2 former wives said he abused them.
Kelly's critics say he may have been aware of the allegations, yet continued to defend Porter.
Media reports say Kelly is considering stepping down.
On Sunday, Trump's senior adviser Kellyanne Conway told an ABC program that the president has full confidence in Kelly and he's not actively searching for replacements.
Mick Mulvaney, who heads the Office of Management and Budget, spoke to Fox News and described speculation about Kelly's position as much ado about nothing. He said Trump is pleased with the job he has been doing.
Some media say Mulvaney is one of the candidates to replace Kelly.

Iran's President Hassan Rouhani has admitted that his administration has failed to have sufficient dialogue with the Iranian people.
Rouhani was speaking on Sunday at a ceremony held in the capital, Tehran, to commemorate the 39th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution. The revolution ousted a pro-US monarchy and established a strict Islamic regime.
Rouhani referred to a series of anti-government protests staged from late last year to early January by young people frustrated with surging prices and other problems.
He expressed remorse, saying the government has been slow in making decisions and has failed to fully discuss the nation's problems with the people.
He stressed that his government intends to accelerate economic stimulus measures and make further efforts to unite the people.
Those attending shouted anti-US slogans. One 31-year-old participant told NHK that the nation needs to demonstrate how US-led sanctions against Iran have been ineffective.
With the milestone 40th anniversary of the 1979 revolution just one year away, Iran faces the need to reconstruct its economy amid increased pressure from the administration of US President Donald Trump.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to target Syrian and Iranian forces if his country is threatened in the wake of the downing of an Israeli fighter jet.
The F-16 carried out a raid on Saturday on a military facility near the Syrian capital of Damascus that Israel says is being built by Iran.
But the fighter jet was hit by a Syrian antiaircraft fire and went down. Two crew members were wounded. It was the first time in 36 years that an Israeli military aircraft was shot down.
Netanyahu praised the crew at a cabinet meeting on Sunday and said," We will continue to strike at every attempt to strike at us."
A Syrian local paper reported that the downing of the Israeli jet destroyed the myth of the Israeli military controlling the airspace in the region.
Iran, which backs Syria, also condemned the Israeli airstrike.

The Japanese government is investigating the impact of several oily objects that have washed ashore on its southern islands.
They are believed to have come from a tanker owned by an Iranian shipping company that sank off the coast of the islands. The vessel collided with a Chinese freighter in the East China Sea early last month and drifted for more than a week.
The government is clearing up the objects and having them analyzed.
Officials say it is very likely they are composed of either heavy fuel oil or crude oil.
The officials say the spill could affect fishing and the marine environment and that they will continue to monitor oil concentrations in the ocean across wide areas from Okinawa to southern Kyushu.

Police are questioning a Japanese man who accepted a cryptocurrency called NEM in exchange for another virtual currency.
Sources close to the investigation say that Tokyo Metropolitan Police investigators learned the man acquired NEM knowing that it was money taken from Tokyo-based cryptocurrency exchange Coincheck.
He said that he purchased it at a lower rate.
Coincheck had suffered unauthorized access to its system last month and NEM coins worth about 530 million dollars were allegedly stolen.
The money was moved to multiple online accounts. And some of the transferred funds have been converted to other virtual currencies on black market websites known as the "dark web".
Police in Tokyo tracked online activity and discovered that the Japanese man got a small amount of money.
He is believed not to be involved with hacking and the police are closely monitoring any moves to convert the missing NEM.
